About Us
Here at Peony and Mint, we love to help people style themselves. Johanna (our founder and owner), quickly realised that once women had had children, they often got so caught up in busy family lives that they had less time for themselves and some had lost their sense of identity completely. It was through her love of fashion and helping people, that Johanna wanted to help boost ladies with getting their confidence and ‘old selves’ back!
At Peony & Mint we want to make shopping easy, whilst also helping women reclaim their confidence and encourage them to treat themselves to nice things because they deserve it! Such treats and esteem boosters can sometimes be as simple as a £10 scarf or necklace. We’ve all had that one item in our wardrobe that can make all the difference; once added to your outfit, it can make you look and feel amazing! We love showing women how to style up an outfit, suggesting accessories they could wear with it, as well as alternative looks to each versatile item so that they feel stylish and confident every single time!
Johanna started her career in women’s fashion as an Assistant Fashion Designer and was soon promoted to Senior Fashion Designer and then to Design Manager. All of these creative roles required her knowledge of different fabrics, colours, prints and catwalks to bring her designs to life and provide the consumer with exactly what she wanted.
Working for an array of high street stores required her to travel extensively to Los Angeles, New York, Paris and Milan in order to source products, whilst also seeking creative and design inspiration.
Johanna is to this day, always monitoring catwalk trends so that Peony and Mint customers are kept up to date and stylish. She looks at prints, colours and styles and strongly considers the versatility of an item in terms of day or evening wear. Providing busy mums with flexibility, as well as affordability, of their purchase is key to meeting the needs of the Peony and Mint customer.
We love to help women choose, ‘Your gift to you.’ Here at Peony and Mint it isn’t just about the item it’s about the whole experience – we want you to feel excited when that beautifully wrapped parcel lands on your doorstep, immediately making you feel special!
Hosting a Party
Peony & Mint are able to bring the beautiful collection to your home for a relaxing, informal party, thanks to our Style Consultants based all around the UK. We pride ourselves on offering a different way of shopping: no hard sell or sales schemes here, just an array of beautiful products, advice and a fun evening where you and your guests can browse our range in comfort.
